Find your White Rabbit (Part 1)

Season 1 Episode 5: White Rabbit

NOTE: I am making this two parts to cover all the important information of this episode!

A confusing episode if I don't say so myself, but also a very interesting and vital episode. It starts off as Jack as a little boy and he and his friend are getting beat up by some older kids. Now, this is the confusing part of the episode because I really didn't know how this applied or connected to anything in this episode. So, then you see Jack's Dad talking to him and telling him do not stand up and be the leader because you don't have what it takes, and if I were his son I would be like "Wow, thanks pops" (sarcastically).

Charlie rushes to Jack and wakes him up talking to him that there is a women in the water. Jack gets up and gets into the water as fast as flash the superhero can run. He saves one person, Boone who also had the intentions to save the women. Jack doesn't realize it yet but Boone tells him that there is another women in the water. Confused Jack doesn't make a decision to save the women and instead save Boone. Personally, I don't blame him in that situation because if I were him would probably be freaking out.

Jack sees the man in the suit again. He rushes towards the beginning of the forrest and falls down. The man turns around and it's his dad, but remember last episode how I thought that Jack was hallucinating? Well, I think he still his. Then Jack has a flash back. He is at his childhood house where his parents continue to live and you see him and his mother talking about his father. His father is a little unusual and so he leaves the house when he is upset, or just whenever he wants to. His father has gone to Australia and his mother wants him to go get him and bring him back. Jack doesn't want to and his mother is kind of expecting him to do that for her. Reluctantly, Jack goes to Australia.

Back at camp, the group is running out of water. They don't know what to do and the pregnant lady, Claire just fainted and doctor Jack is missing. So they try to treat her by themselves. She needs water but someone stole all the water. Kate, Sayid, and Locke have a discussion and decided that they need water. Well duh? And so the once paralyzed man, Locke is determined that he will go out and find the much needed water for the camp. He offers himself because he knows where to look.

Walking Once Again

Season 1 Episode 4: Walkabout

In this episode, so much had happened. Where do I even start off? Ok, at the beginning you see the "mysterious man" (the name I gave him) laying on the ground. He wiggles his toes to see if his legs are broken. It seems like a normal thing to do, checking to see if anything was broken, right?  Well I don't think so.

Vincent is barking. He doesn't stop and so people start to wake up. There is a weird noise like something is in the fuselage. Jack and Sawyer go to check it out while being trailed by a group of people. They find boars in there scavenging on the dead people from the crash. Everyone runs away and the boars also run away. In the morning the camp realizes that there isn't enough food, so what do they do to get more? You guessed it, hunt boars. Getting ready to head out to hunt boars Kate stops by Sayid and sees that he is working on a signal receptor that can pick up a transmission, because he said if the french women had that distress call for sixteen years there would be a significant energy source. Leading the group, the mysterious man, named Locke. His two companions, Kate and Michael. When they head out Michael gets injured by a boar slitting his leg. Locke leaves Kate and Michael alone to get back to camp while Locke continues the hunt.

During the hunt, Boone and Shannon (step-siblings) fight about staying alive because Boone is fed up with Shannon because he believes that Shannon can't survive without the help of him. He challenges her to ketch a fish. Shannon recruits Charlie who thens gets Hurley to ketch the fish for him. Charlie presents the fish to Shannon in front of Boone feeling proud. Charlie realizes that he had been used by her. Throughout the episode Jack goes over to the lonely Rose who is sitting alone in the sand i'm assuming grieving for her lost husband. Jack comforts her and talks and makes her feel better, and tells her that the fuselage will be burning tonight as a memorial to the dead lost in the plane wreck. Rose agrees to come. Jack offers that she could be able to say something for her husband but she denies him because she believes that the people in the tail of the plane were lost and are thinking that this group is actually dead.

Jack goes to see Kate who just returned from the trip. They talk for a few minutes when Jack sees a person in a suit at the edge of the forrest. I was thinking that Jack was hallucinating, but it was some kind of alarm type thing because he runs over to the man who then disappears and sees Locke pulling a boar out of the forrest. The burning of the Fuselage begins to burn and the memorial takes place.

Locke has a flash back to his trip to Australia where he wants to do a walkabout, but denied by the company because of his condition, and you see that Locke was paralyzed from the legs below! I did not see this happening and was an amazement to me when I realized what that actually meant when he was wiggling his toes!

Predictions for next Episode
Kate did not succeed in finding a signal with the receptor thing because she accidentally dropped it off a tree. That said, I think Kate will try again, maybe this time with help of Jack. Otherwise I have no clue what's going to happen.

Kate is a Criminal?!?

Season 1 Episode 3: Tabula Rasa

Tabula Rasa in my opinion the most exiting and action packed episode yet. Even though this is only the third episode of Lost I think we obtained some important information. The group that went to search for a signal with the transceiver groups the whole together telling everyone that the signal strength was not good enough, therefore lying to them about the french women's help call that had been playing for sixteen years.

Today, we learned that Kate was a wanted criminal (because we weren't sure before) and that  there was a 23,000 dollar reward for turning her in. Jack learns that Kate was dangerous an unpredictable from the injured cop, and also finds a mug shot of her. Jack confronts Kate about her arrest although he denies her when she was about to tell him what happened. I personally was mad when Jack said he didn't want to know what happened because I was getting excited for that exact moment and it all vanished in an blink of an eye.

We just met Walt the son of Michael. Walt's dog Vincent had been missing for the three days that they've been here on the island. Last episode Walt meets and befriends a mysterious man whose name had not been said yet. This man learns that Walt's dog Vincent had been missing and carves a whistle out of wood that attracts dogs and the dog comes running to him. Recently Walt had been mad at Michael for not being able to find Vincent so the man tells Michael that Vincent is tied to a tree. Michael brings the dog to his son who becomes delighted and the whole time it looked like Michael did this for his son. The mysterious man turns out to be a nice man, but at the episode you find him staring at the reunited family however he has no smile, not even a grin.

Predictions for next episode
I believe that in the next episode the group searching for a signal will attempt it again, and or find the other distress signal from the french women. If that signal is stopped they will be able to send out their own signal which could lead to help. I wonder what's going to happen to Kate because a handful of people now know who she really is.

Second Time is the Charm?

Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot Part 2

Welcome to my third blog and my second one focusing on my topic the show Lost. In this episode we meet Sayid who was a communication officer for his military. We also better met Hurley. Kate was actually, a prisoner (Spoiler Alert). Although Kate seems like a lovable person we and especially the other characters don't know yet that she is dangerous.

In this episode Jack, Kate, and Charlie return to base camp at the beach with the broken transceiver. They ask if anyone can fix the transceiver, and Sayid steps up and fixes it to a point. The battery is very low and the signal needs to be more clear or else the battery would run out quickly. To be able to use the device they must climb the island's mountain to the top. For the second time they hike the mountain they hear a female voice in french calling for help. The message had been repeating for 16 years. Back at camp Jack continues to be the hero by helping a wounded man who has shrapnel in his abdomen. Hurley tries to help Jack with the operation but is not able to because he quickly blacks out by the sight of blood. Hurley seems like a teddy bear to me because he is cheerful, helpful, and very easy going. The man who was being operated by Jack was actually Kate's police guard who was escorting her back to the U.S. but was hit by a suitcase when the plane was ripping apart and unfortunately got hit by shrapnel during the crash.

Predictions for next episode
In the next episode I believe that Kate will be in a lot of trouble because of the security guard who is supposed to be escorting her. Everyone will know the truth about Kate and how she is currently a criminal. We people in the real world still have no clue why and what Kate did to be a prisoner especially with her kind personality. Is it a trick? I honestly don't think so. I'm not sure why I think that and I can't put my mind to it but I just have that feeling.  I also think that they will find another battery for the dead transceiver and also work on the gadget to enhance its connection to find help.

Time to Relax and Enjoy Christmas Break

It's Christmas break! I know this isn't about Lost but I thought that I would take the time to write a post about whats on my agenda for this christmas break.

I live in a ski town. It's a treasure that many people don't get, or are even able to experience it. Now skiing is the best, and funnest thing to do with friends over break. You can ski all day with out getting burned out, and if you do get burned out you can just wait another year until you are back into skiing. I currently ski at a two Vail resorts called Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) and the Canyons. They are two great resorts my friends and I ski at. I think i'll ski seven days on our two week break. If you didn't know that Vail won a court case against Powdr Corp who are two very big ski resort operators in America. The court case made Vail able to run Park City Mountain Resort after Powdr Corp operated the ski resort for decades.

My Oma and Opa (My moms parents) are here in town spending their time between my cousins house and my house. The term Oma and Opa come from german speaking countries. Yes, my grandparents are german, and they do live in Germany. Anyway my Oma and Opa are here to visit us, and my cousins. They are going to spend christmas with my cousins. Some reason they always spend christmas at my aunts house. It has become normal to me because they've done it for years, and it kind of feels like a tradition we have.

My family is the active type so we actually went to the Unita Mountains with a permit and cut down our own tree. The tree turned into a really beautiful christmas tree with awesome lights and decorations on it. Sadly, we don't have any presents under the tree yet to transform our family into the christmas spirit, but soon enough the presents I made for my family will be under the tree. Now what do I want for christmas? As a matter of fact I only want one present, and I have a reason of only wanting one. I want Oakley Canopy snow goggles. They are $130 bucks so they are very expensive and that's also my reason for wanting one present.

Very first Episode!

Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot Part 1
Curtesy of ABC
Kick Off to the new blog series! Here, today I am going to blog about the first episode ever in Lost. Today we met the heroic Jack. Right from the start you can tell that Jack is going to be the leader, he is also very brave, smart, and quick thinking. We also get introduced to Kate who is also brave, and Charlie who is talkative and kind of geeky.

They crashed on an unknown island. The cockpit and tail both ripped off the main body before they crashed. 48 survivors. Jack leaps out of the forrest and helps people left and right. First a man with a badly torn leg, next a woman 8 months into pregnancy, and a woman who needs CPR. Jack saves everyone that he helps. I thought that was kind of obvious that everyone would be saved because right from the start Jack seemed like a hero. In my opinion I like how obvious they make people's personalities show because then you get an idea of how that person becomes, and you can also easily make predictions on what that character will do. Anyway Jack goes on adventure backed up by Kate, and Charlie to the cockpit to find a transceiver, which makes them able to communicate. When they reach the flight deck they are suddenly trapped inside by a mysterious noise, when the pilot is taken from the cock pit by the monster thing. They found the transceiver but it doesn't seem to work at the moment. They start to run back to the camp, and really running from the sound, and thats where they left us off.

Predictions for Next Episode

Pilot Part 2. In this episode I believe that Jack, Kate, and Charlie will make it back to the camp, but not without finding the mysterious monster animal who tore the pilot apart, and laid him on a tree. That said I believe that the group of survivors will start to make a more organized place, and make a government to make sure people are under control. I think that Jack will be the leader because he already has shown leadership skills, and bravery. People already listen to him.

Can't Wait for the next episode!
